So,
what do you do when you have a non-working 17 jewel watch with a missing front cover
and a big scratch on the front? You put it in a dome, of
course!
This
is the first Elgin watch that I ever bought. Before I began
collecting them, an associate warned me about buying watches that didn't
work. He said that all you will have are expensive paper weights.
Of course, I didn't listen, which is why I bought this busted up Hunter. Every once in a while, I think about sending it in and
getting an estimate. But even if I did, I would have is a watch a
scratched crystal and no front lid. |
