like my other watches, this one has a "fancy
dial". As you can no doubt surmise, I have a penchant for
ornate design and accouterments. Therefore, when this watch came on
the market, I jumped at it. An interesting note, Elgin watches are
even "fancy" where the typical owner would never look - on the
inside. Wayne Schlitt, of The
Elgin Watch Collectors Site told me that the customer WOULD see that part of the
watch before they picked out the case. Needless to say, it seems to
me like pin-striping the engine of a car! |
